About Me
I am Ayoub Hameedi and my academic profile includes a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development from Uppsala University, Sweden and another Master’s program in the field of Environmental Science from Södertörns Högskola. I did my Bachelors in Social Sciences from University of the Punjab, Pakistan and took numerous online courses in Development Studies from The World Bank Group, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Lund University.
I have worked for WWF Sweden, Atkisson Europe AB and Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan on a number of projects in relation to Sustainable Development. I started my professional career in 2005, when I took up an assignment with a non-profit organization Pakistan Crescent Youth Organization (PCYO) to execute a UNICEF financed project. My primary responsibility was to organize workshops to empower adolescents in Lahore city with Life Skills Based Education / HIV / AIDS prevention and care messages.
I enjoy working in a multi-cultural environment and have a can do attitude towards professional and personal life. I can work in a team as well as independently. I firmly believe that no matter what the situation, I can handle it in a positive and result-oriented manner. I am passionate about reading books on socioeconomic issues, biographies, meditate and to produce information on sustainability issues in the region of Scandinavia. I love to travel, paint, draw sketches and am currently running 4 photography exhibitions People of Stockholm, Move your body, We love Coffee and We love Cycling in Stockholm city.
